JJ Redick — Update: Has signed with the Pelicans

The Golden State Warriors would easily have the best shooting team of all time if they added JJ Redick. With him coming off numerous down screens and Draymond with the ball, an open three would almost be too easy.

Redick has continued to make himself valuable throughout his career. Primarily a sharpshooter, Redick averaged 18.1 points per game last season, a career high for the 35-year-old. As he ages, he continues to improve, a characteristic of a true marksman.

For the first time in five years, Redick shot under 40% from deep. Just three year removed from shooting 47.5% from downtown, Redick has cemented himself as one of the league’s best from deep.

A player with that attribute commands money. While his contract will probably be a short-term deal worth just over eight figures, that type of money is still likely too much for Golden State. However, if KD leaves, the thought of Redick should be considered.
