Durant’s Irreplaceability

The only way that Golden State could withstand the departure of a player with Kevin Durant’s caliber is if they signed another top-five NBA player.

No need to do any research because that simply won’t be happening.  There is no player out on the market, who can feasibly sign with the Warriors, that can replicate or replace what Durant brought to the court.

Add on the fact that Golden State will be without Klay Thompson for quite possibly through the All-Star break, and the Warriors will be seriously undermanned offensively. As many have labeled him, Kevin Durant was the “ultimate luxury” that fit in the Warriors’ system and made them quite unbeatable on any given night.

Now without him, the Warriors would be wise to build the depth around Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Because if there is one thing for certain: there is no player that can replicate what Kevin Durant did for Golden State.
