The Golden State Warriors face a new future with Kevin Durant gone. Here are three things fans should be hoping for.

Kevin Durant shook the NBA world when he announced his decision to join the Golden State Warriors in 2016. Only three years later, he shook the league again by jumping ship to the Brooklyn Nets. Laying in the aftermath is a distraught and weakened Warriors team.

The last year hasn’t been very kind to the Warriors. After signing DeMarcus Cousins and being crowned the “most stacked” team of all-time, everything has gone wrong. Multiple injuries throughout the regular season held the Dubs back, but this was only a minor inconvenience compared to what would happen in the NBA Playoffs.

Significant injuries occurred to Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Kevon Looney. All of which contributed to the Dubs falling to the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals.

Now, the team faces a dark future. Without Durant, the Dubs will be forced to pick up the pieces and attempt to make another run at a title. Here are four things the Dubs should be hoping for in the next year.
