Wesley Matthews — Update: Has signed with Milwaukee Bucks

The Golden State Warriors need shooting. They’ve built their dynasty off being dominant from deep. Throughout his career, Matthews has cemented himself as one of the best snipers in the league, averaging over two threes per game for over the last half a decade.

The only problem with Matthews is his efficiency. That, and the fact that it’s really unknown what the market for a somewhat inefficient shooter is. With the market dried up for the most part, Matthews may peak at $8 million.

If he wants a chance to win, he’ll join the Warriors though. The Warriors need a tough, gritty shooting guard. Even when Klay Thompson returns, the Warriors could use someone with the play style of Matthews.

Yes, they just traded for Russell, but many believe that Russell will be traded prior to the 2020 trade deadline. That said, to retain backcourt depth, signing Matthews, if he’d even consider their offer, would be a no-brainer.
