Markieff Morris

The Golden State Warriors are lacking a stretch 4. They have a 4 in Draymond Green, but they could use one that could play downlow, defend a big, and space the floor. A versatile player that could switch onto backcourt players seamlessly is ideal as well.

That player is Markieff Morris.

Morris, 29-year-old veteran forward, stands 6-foot-10 and has already kissed his best years behind him. I’d be shocked if Morris returns to being a player that puts up over 15 points per game. However, while his scoring may’ve taken a hit in recent seasons, his success doesn’t have to.

Throughout his time in the league, Morris hasn’t seem much team-wide success. After averaging just 6.5 points per game on under 40% shooting over his last 24 games of last season, Morris’ value may not be too high. That means Golden State may have a nice path to signing the vet.

This would be ideal for both sides as Golden State can hope Morris gets his career back on track and Morris can have a legit chance at team-wide success.
