Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

The Golden State Warriors, with Klay Thompson out, will be in the market for a shooting guard that can play well at both ends of the court. One of those few above-average 3-and-D players left on the market is Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

Pope played well with LeBron’s Lakers last season. He wasn’t the most impactful player on the team, but he certainly came up big at times. Pope put up an eight-three game last season and impacted many more with his shooting.

On top of that, Pope is known as an elite defender. With Russell and Curry heading the top-tier backcourt, Pope’s presence both on the bench or at the 3 could help the Warriors keep their opponents at bay.

Pope has averaged double figures for the past five seasons. While that’s a solid average, he’s also made $30 million over the past couple seasons. He could be looking for a huge contract, and if that’s the case, count Golden State out already.
