4. Marcus Morris

Marcus Morris has enjoyed two successful years with the Boston Celtics and developed into one of Brad Stevens’ most players in 2018-19. But with the Celtics current cap situation following the addition of Kemba Walker, Morris will likely be moving on.

The former Celtic enjoyed a solid season, featuring prominently as a starter in 2018/19 averaging 13.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and averaged a 37% clip from three-point range.

One enticing factor for Coach Steve Kerr is that Morris is equally effective on both ends of the court. While the Kansas alum has become more consistent from deep and is an effective defender on the perimeter. Morris would be a dramatic upgrade on the majority of the frontcourt players currently on the Dubs roster.

Should the Warriors add the former Kansas alum, Morris would provide quality frontcourt depth and versatility having shown the ability to play both forward positions. When factoring in the Dubs current cap crisis Morris’ versatility could prove invaluable.

The million dollar question is as to whether Morris would accept the mid-level exception. But the opportunity to win a championship alongside one of the best backcourts in history may be an opportunity to difficult to pass up. If that is the case the Warriors shouldn’t waste their chance.
