3. Potential

As previously mentioned Parker’s potential is sky-high. The former Duke product was selected 2nd overall in 2014 by the Milwaukee Bucks who believed the pairing of Giannis Antetokoumpto and Parker would be their forward pairing for the next decade.

Those aspirations quickly stalled as Parker suffered an ACL injury early in his rookie year and missed the rest of his season.

The former 2nd overall pick was playing catch-up and saw his progress once again halted as he succumbed to a second left ACL injury in the 2016-17 season.

In the midst of those terrible injuries, Parker displayed signs of his enormous potential, a 35 point effort against the Denver Nuggets in 2018, a 36 point performance against Houston in 2016.

Despite the second ACL injury, the former Duke product averaged 20.1 points for the year and began to expand his skillset introducing an effective three-point shot.

Now fit and firing at last Parker must find the best fit for him. The Warriors medical staff have experience at maintaining fitness in players who have struggled with injury in Steph Curry and DeMarcus Cousins. Parker would be protected in the Bay.
