Multiple outlets have reported that the Golden State Warriors don’t plan to keep D’Angelo Russell. That said, here are a few players the Dubs should trade him for.

The Golden State Warriors, just weeks after losing the NBA Finals, have almost completely transformed their roster. They’ve taken one superstar out and added another one, a move many fans didn’t love.

The superstar transition was the addition of D’Angelo Russell and the exodus of Kevin Durant. The fit is what is concerning to most fans. Russell, while in Brooklyn, cemented himself as a ball-dominant superstar.

Ball-dominant superstar is something the Warriors already have two of. With one ball on the court and the Big 3 taking up the majority of the shots, Russell may not feel as at home in Golden State as he did with Brooklyn.

It’s not just a conspiracy theory that Russell will be traded. New York Times’ reporter Marc Stein, who broke many stories throughout the free agency period, said it’s just “a matter of when” Russell is dealt again.

That said, let’s look at five players that the Warriors may consider trading their recently-acquired star for.
