Frontcourt help

As we mentioned a bit in the previous slide, the Warriors frontcourt needs help. They’ll likely lose DeMarcus Cousins and will be down to just two centers, both of which don’t have polished offensive games.

Even Draymond Green, a three-time All-Star forward, failed to hit over ten points per game last season. Love, at one point in his career, notched over 26 per game while more recently totaling 17 per game as the main scoring option in Cleveland.

The 30-year-old, 6-foot-10 forward naturally plays the power forward position; however, during his stretch of play with NBA legend LeBron James, Love got familiar with the five.

It was more by force than choice though. While Love’s played the majority of his minutes at the five in just two seasons, he’s played around 40% of the position throughout his career.

He’s capable of playing the five, and with Draymond Green being the excellent rebounder he is, Love may only have to play the bulk of his minutes at the four anyway.
