While many critics are counting out the Golden State Warriors, they still have one of the most star-studded rosters in the entire league.

The 2019 NBA offseason has been a brutal one for the Golden State Warriors. Opening up with the devastating news that the two-time Finals MVP, Kevin Durant, would be leaving the franchise to join the Brooklyn Nets.

To no one’s surprise, this news left the Warriors feeling dismantled. With KD gone and Klay Thompson injured, there wasn’t much reason for optimism this summer. At this point, I wouldn’t blame anyone who was doubting the Dubs.

Since then, the Warriors front office has been working hard to get this team back on track. Key signings such as Alec Burks, Willie Cauley-Stein and Glenn Robinson III has opened up the path to this team being competitive again. More depth equals more success. Of course, their biggest move this summer was to complete a sign-and-trade for Brooklyn All-Star, D’Angelo Russell.

Even with these acquisitions, the Dubs have found themselves being ruled out by many fans and analysts. Some going as far to say the Warriors won’t reach the playoffs. This is absolutely ridiculous.

In a league that is now driven by star duo’s, the Warriors remain the only team to have arguably four All-Star players. Stephen Curry, Thompson, Russell and Draymond Green have all been All-Stars in the past and will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the Warriors this season. Even with his injury, Thompson will likely be back around the mid-way point in the season, giving him plenty of time to gear up for the playoffs.

Obviously, the Warriors will not have four players reach the All-Star game this season. However, they are the only team in the NBA right now with four-star caliber players. With a surprisingly deep bench, don’t be shocked if the Dubs come out and compete this season. After all, a weaker Dubs squad did just push the Toronto Raptors to the brink in the NBA Finals.
