4. 2014-15

The Warriors dynasty was built off their success in 2014-15 and that season will always be synonymous in Warriors history as the year the Dubs brought home their first championship in 40 years.

The Dubs finished with a 67-15 record, setting a franchise record number of wins comfortably surpassing the 59 games they won in 1975-76 while also adding their first Pacific Division crown since that year.

Nonetheless, it also vindicated Lacob and Guber’s decision to replace Jackson with Kerr as the former Chicago Bull broke the record for most wins for a rookie head coach. In addition, Kerr became one of the ten head coaches to emerge with a championship ring at the end of their first season.

This season was also notable for the emergence of the Splash Brothers as a dominant force. Curry and Thompson made a lasting impression and etched their names into the history books for breaking the single-season record for most three-pointers made by a pair of teammates (525).

Curry’s performances didn’t go unnoticed as he was presented with the season MVP, Golden State’s first since the mighty Wilt Chamberlain in 1959-60. While Thompson was rewarded with his first All-Star selection.
