The Golden State Warriors have a lot of questions around their second unit this season.

In previous years, the Golden State Warriors had a strong second unit filled with elite level role players. This helped them reach the top of the NBA mountain and win three championships in five seasons.

While the starting unit is still somewhat bemusing, the success of the new supporting cast is even more of a mystery. Nearly unrecognizable to the above photo, the bench will play a key role this year.

The Toronto Raptors showed us all how important a deep lineup can be. Due to a number of players stepping up in key moments, the Raptors won the 2019 NBA Finals. This is something the Dubs will need to do themselves if they want similar results.

However, Golden State doesn’t have the usual cast of supporting members. The last time the Warriors needed rookies to majorly contribute was 2012, the year Draymond Green was drafted. This season, the reserves have been completely revamped, and it makes you wonder: who will be the most productive player off the bench?
