Alec Burks

Not having an easy career, Alec Burks will have a chance to rejuvenate his career with the Golden State Warriors. Once averaging 14 points per game, Burks played for three teams last season, being sent from Utah to Cleveland to Sacramento.

Burks is a solid trade candidate. However, like many of the other player on Golden State, Burks draws value from a minimum-value contract. However, like many other players that Golden State recently signed, we don’t know how Burks might fit with the Dubs.

Recently turning 28, Burks has the potential to be a serious contributor.

He notched those 14 points per game his third season in Utah, shooting 46% from the field. Playing seven full seasons in Utah, his career has been defined by injuries.

That’s why Burks needs a good outing in Golden State. If he can thrive, he can raise his trade value. If the Warriors have specific needs at the deadline, they may be able to couple Burks to secure a more defensive-minded wing or a position the Dubs need more of in order to contend.

He could be a great addition, but time will certainly tell both his value for Golden State and on the open market.
