Jordan Poole

The Golden State Warriors reached in the draft to select Jordan Poole. As their first-round pick, Poole will have some pressure on him to perform for a championship-contending team that’ll be thin at the two.

Poole’s 6-foot-5 frame should allow him ample size on the defensive end. However, his best trait is his shooting, and for Golden State, that could be ideal. At the same time, he’s one of the only young Warriors that actually has trade value.

Players like Glenn Robinson III and Willie Cauley-Stein, although relatively young, have proven that they don’t have star potential in the NBA.

Poole could. He made 1.1 threes and 2.0 threes in his freshman and sophomore years respectively. Shooting 37% from deep, Poole could find a nice home on a team like Atlanta as long as Golden State can get some high-value veterans to assist their title dreams.

20, Poole still has youth on his side, and Golden State could use that to their advantage.
