D’Angelo Russell could be traded just months into being on the Golden State Warriors. What teams could make a move for the talented guard?

We know that Warriors GM Bob Myers has stated that he didn’t sign D’Angelo Russell this summer with the intention of trading him, but if we’ve learned anything this offseason, it’s that both teams and players alike can change their mind very quickly.

Many teams are on the market for a starting point guard, so here are a few possible landing spots for Russell if the Dubs do try and find a trade partner.

No. 1: Minnesota Timberwolves

The T-Wolves starting point guard this season will most likely be 31-year-old Jeff Teague, who’s averaged 13.4 points per game during his time in Minnesota. They could certainly use another all-star caliber player to slot alongside Karl-Anthony Towns, as Minnesota has had trouble finding consistent success in the grueling Western Conference

Russell could absolutely play that role for the Timberwolves, able to dominate the pick and roll with Towns and certainly add a few wins to their total.
