…Or Nothing Happens at All

It’s very possible that the Warriors do indeed hang onto Russell and play him alongside Curry throughout the season. This combo has to work. I mean, Durant and Curry were somewhat a seemless transition and Russell doesn’t quite seem as isolation-centric as Durant.

However, with Draymond Green‘s contract extension kicking in after this season, it’ll be interesting to see if the Warriors decide to pay four different players $25+ million after the year ends.

It’s easy to make a case that the Warriors should deal Russell, yet at the same time, it’s easy to say that if the 23-year-old fits in with the Dubs, then there’s no way they’d even remotely consider it.

At the end of the day, this upcoming season could go 1,000 different ways for Russell and the Dubs so predicting if and when a trade happens is impossible.
