The Golden State Warriors have made it to five-straight NBA Finals; however, a sixth one will be quite the feat in a loaded Western Conference.

The last six months have been a wild ride for the Golden State Warriors.

With a few midseason slumps, entering the playoffs the Dubs secured the No. 1 seed yet didn’t feel like an automatic Finals bid was in their future. Although they ended up making to the Finals, their path came with controversy and mayhem.

With Kevin Durant going down against Houston and then tearing his Achilles in the Finals, the Warriors were down one superstar for 10+ games. Then, in Game 6, the Dubs lost their third-best player and All-Star guard, Klay Thompson, as well.

Thompson’s injury wasn’t quite as serious as he tore his ACL and is expected to make his return at some point during the 2019-2020 season. That all set up the Warriors to have one insane offseason which was capped off by Durant’s exodus and D’Angelo Russell‘s arrival.

However, Draymond Green‘s four-year extension and the re-signing of Thompson cannot go unnoticed as the Dubs locked up their Big 3 and Russell for at least the next three seasons. All that happened to Golden State, and while the Dubs were making moves so were other top contenders.

That said, let’s dive into the top-five teams that’ll threaten their five-straight NBA Finals streak in 2020.
