Utah Jazz

One of the teams that became noticeably better this offseason was the Utah Jazz. The Jazz made two highly impactful moves that brought them both a star point guard and an up-and-coming forward.

The trade for Mike Conley (the star point guard) brought Utah closer to true contention. They did give up Grayson Allen, Darius Bazley, Jae Crowder, Kyle Korver and a 2020 1st round draft pick; however, in the grand scheme of things, that’s not a ton.

Conley has been one of the league’s most underrated point guards for years. In his last two healthy seasons, Conley averaged over 20 points and 6 assists per game. A guard that knows when to score and when to dish is an asset when you have already have a superstar guard.

Signing Bojan Bogdanovic was the second move. Bojan averaged 18.0 point and shot 42.5% from three last season in Indiana. Combining him with Joe Ingles in the frontcourt will be a lethal tandem from downtown.

We’ve mentioned four all-star caliber players without even tossing in perennial Defensive Player of the Year candidate Rudy Gobert. Those five will be elite, but they’re still without a top-ten player which could prove fatal late in the postseason.
