Even though left-handed players only make up a small portion of the NBA, the Golden State Warriors have a solid list of all-time greats.

By joining the Golden State Warriors, D’Angelo Russell locks in as a legitimate potential all-time Warriors lefty. One of only 42 of the 529 active lefties in today’s league, or roughly eight percent, he finds himself near the top of his class behind the likes of James Harden and Ben Simmons.

Where he stands in the ranks of lefties in the league is a debate for another day.

Among the current list of Warriors are three Hall of Famers, an All-Star that helped lay the foundation for today’s dynasty, and a motley crew of short-term and bench role players.

Without having played a single game yet for the Warriors, he is already looking at the top five of the ranks. If he grows on his All-Star form from last year, he could quickly be knocking on the door of the Hall of Famers in the top three.

It will be fun to see how his long-term success plays out, but let’s take a look at where the list stands now.
