?. D’Angelo Russell

Point Guard/Shooting Guard, 6’5″, Number unreleased

2019-Present

If Russell shoots for superstar status with the Warriors, Mully would be a tough name to pass.

For now, D’Angelo Russell would be competing with David Lee for the number four spot and a shot at surpassing Hall of Famer Guy Rodgers.

He may be sitting at that one for a while, but Rodgers is a good name to compare him to, as he puts up similar numbers and actually had a similar game with pull-ups and floaters, not including three pointers of course.

It could be argued Russell will easily outscore Lee’s averages this season, and it can’t be difficult to outperform him at the defensive end as that was not one of his strengths.

If he were to compete with the likes of Marciulionis, he’ll need to really enjoy contact and start putting up some huge numbers. Another few playoff runs with the Dubs and time will really be all that can tell, so we’ll just have to sit back and wait to see.

Hopefully, when all is said and done, he’s pushing for the number one spot with Chris Mullin as one of the greatest Warriors lefties to ever wear the uniform.
