8. D’Angelo Russell All-Star

When Kevin Durant announced he was leaving the Golden State Warriors, their last shred of hope came from a sign-and-trade that landed the franchise D’Angelo Russell.

Golden State is going to rely heavily on Russell this season. With no KD and no Klay Thompson for quite some time, Russell will play a pivotal role in running the offense and making sure Stephen Curry isn’t overwhelmed.

Luckily, D-Lo has a perfect skill-set to assist Curry. His playmaking and isolation skills will fit right in with the Dubs as Russell likely averages career-high numbers for a second straight season.

If D-Lo is successful in his role to the point of reaching the All-Star game, it means the Warriors must be firing on all cylinders. Let’s hope that D-Lo manages to hit his stride this season.
