Apparently, former Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant got mad when double-teamed at practice, a conversation sparked by Suns’ guard Devin Booker.

The Golden State Warriors lost both Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala this offseason, but that didn’t stop Iggy from sharing controvery-sparking moments with Twitter about Durantula from the last few seasons.

Ironically, Durant wasn’t a fan of a double-team in practice, which, given Durant’s recent comments, is interesting.

Every hooper has an opinion on double-teaming, especially of one in a meaningless game. Personally, I’m all for it.

Do you do it? Do you let your team lose because of one elite talent?

At the end of the day, if your team is getting ripped and you’re serious about winning, you’re sending the double. That’s not how Devin Booker felt when a team led by Ben Simmons and Joakim Noah brought a double team while playing pick-up ball.

Booker, who does have a point about trying to put finishing touches on his game, was doubled and and tossed the ball to get checked after bickering with Noah about the double. A video that went viral has hoopers from all over talking up their opinion on the subject.

Do see what ESPN added in their post?

They tagged a tweet that Durant put on how a player need to man up and work on his defense if he’s getting blasted. Well, that’s when the irony of the situation comes into play given that Durant also didn’t like being doubled during meaningless games.

Durant, a player with four scoring titles and a career average of 27.0 points per game, apparently didn’t walk his talk according to Iguodala. However, at the end of the day, Durant will go down as one of the best scorers in NBA history, so you can’t give him too much grief for it.
