The Golden State Warriors’ media day is over, and here are the main three exciting takeaways that ever Dubs’ fan should note.

Unlike the past two consecutive seasons, the Golden State Warriors weren’t able to conquer the league in 2019. However, they’re back and looking better than ever with a completely new group of role players.

This offseason for Golden State was a telling one.

Their main transaction was a sign-and-trade that brought in 23-year-old All-Star D’Angelo Russell. Sadly, they also were forced to trade away four-time scoring champ and former MVP Kevin Durant.

Aside from Russell’s addition, the Warriors had many more headline-worthy moves. They re-signed Klay Thompson to a four-year max. They gave Draymond Green a max-level extension as well.

The stars are locked up, but a team is more than just the combined power of their stars.

The Warriors were able to get role players that should contribute immediately upon arrival as well. Players like Willie Cauley-Stein, Alec Burks, Glenn Robinson III and a slew of new rookies should help engineer offense throughout the season.

The team’s media day, which was yesterday, allowed some insight into how the players handle their offseason and their mindset entering the new season. That said, let’s dive into three pivotal takeaways that fans should be aware of.
