The Golden State Warriors will be well-represented in the 2020 Olympics as Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green all plan to play.

The Big 3 is planning to make the trip to Tokyo. With Draymond Green saying he wants to play in the 2020 Olympics at the Golden State Warriors’ media day, all three have now stated their intentions to join Team USA in 2020.

We’re actually getting to the point where a player like Draymond Green may not actually make the cut.

Players such as James Harden and other stars have also talked about their intent to play in Tokyo. This comes after an embarrassing performance in China where Team USA, who had 12 NBA players on the roster, finished seventh, snapping their near-60-game win streak.

If all three of the Warriors play in the Olympics along with James Harden, Team USA would already have four players better than any of the 12 they took to China. The FIBA World Cup roster boasted Celtics star Kemba Walker and Jazz star Donovan Mitchell.

However, those players aren’t on the same level as Stephen Curry and James Harden. At the same time, the FIBA World Cup isn’t on the same level as the Olympics either so that adds another factor as to why more players are signing up early on.

The Warriors, aside from coach Steve Kerr being on the team’s coaching staff, weren’t represented in China. They had two players in the 2016 Olympics and would’ve had three had Steph Curry not withdrew due to injury. After five-straight Finals, the stars needed their summer off.

That said, for Warrior fans, it’ll be cool seeing their three stars compete alongside some of the world’s best. We always see them on opposite teams but imagine having Curry, Thompson, and Harden sharing the court for a tournament.

It’d be an abundance of talent on the court. The team may even be able to add LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard and others to the list. The possibilities for this team are endless with the amount of talent that’s been brought up in America.

What we do know is it’s almost guaranteed that if all three Warriors want to take up almost a quarter of the team, they’ll be able to do so.
