With the season opener tomorrow against the Los Angeles Clippers, let’s break down each of the 14 Golden State Warriors’ players by tiers.

The Golden State Warriors are a fringe title contender this season, and once you separate them into tiers, it’s easy to see why they’re no longer the unanimous threat for the 2020 NBA Championship.

Sadly, it doesn’t seem that Golden State is even confident that Klay Thompson is going to be healthy. This season could be difficult for the Warriors if they aren’t able to get Thompson, who tore his ACL in the 2019 NBA Finals, back.

However, they did secure three rookies which they seem to like enough to give regular-season minutes to. Their improvements will be something worth watching. The Warriors’ depth issues will force them into crucial minutes as well.

This roster is still highly skilled.

While they aren’t deep, they still boast several players that have recently been named to the All-Star game. Their depth issues should only play a crucial factor if the team gets banged up which could likely happen.

That said, let’s check out the team’s depth and rank each of their 14 players into five different tiers as we head into the season opener in just a few days.
