The Golden State Warriors are not going to be contending this season. However, unlike other tanking teams, they won’t have a firesale of their assets.

If the Golden State Warriors were going to trade a player like Draymond Green, what might they ask in return?

It’s a big if, and one that is incredibly unlikely. But, some are already dreaming of Green on their favorite team. I’ve seen photoshopped pictures of Green in Portland and Denver jerseys throughout my time on Twitter in the past few days.

Although they won’t be trading him after signing Green onto a four-year max extension this past offseason, there’s always fun in looking at what could be. For Green especially, it’s difficult to gauge his value even when talking hypotheticals.

During the 2015-2016 season, Green was one of the best passing big men in the game. Scoring 14.0 points per game, dishing out 7.4 assists and securing 9.5 rebounds per game, Green was widely considered to be one of the most dominant bigs at that time.

The next season and the last three with Durant have plummeted Green’s value. His usage rate has gone down the drain, and it’s been pitiful to watch his shooting that was, at least at one point, above average.

So, now that he’s done all that and amassed a Defensive Player of the Year honor, what’s his value? Well, let’s dive into five hypothetical trades that may be fair for both the Dubs and the other team.
