The Golden State Warriors have been without all four of their All-Star-caliber players, and now, it’s officially turned into the Eric Paschall show.

Unless you’re the Golden State Warriors, the second round isn’t the best spot to find high-value players that’ll contribute immediately. However, as they did with Draymond Green, they added experienced Eric Paschall, a three-year starter a Villanova.

He’s come in and immediately started to be a factor for this depleted Warriors’ team.

With D’Angelo Russell, Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry, and Draymond Green on the team yet all four injured, Paschall has made all the difference. He’s coming off a career-high 34 points, a game he won’t be forgetting any time soon.

It was a terrific effort from the big. The highlights allow those watching to see just how confident four years at college can make you in both shot selection and physical abilities. He was giving it to NBA-caliber players with no second thoughts.

Here’s his highlight reel from Monday night’s victory.

This showed exactly what Paschall is capable of.

He can grind and move out other forwards in the paint, and he can also step back beyond the arc and drain threes from downtown. If he had a little bit more playmaking in him, I’d be ready to dub him an early Draymond Green.

The Warriors, as this season progresses, will have no issues giving Paschall big minutes. As a young rookie, this will be his prime chance to get on Kerr’s radar. This will be huge when the Dubs, with revenge in their eyes, march their way back into NBA contention next season.

Shooting over 60% on the season and now averaging over 15 points per game, Paschall may have cemented himself as the best second-round prospect in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Although he’s shown his skill set, there’s still a long way to go before he cements himself as a role player on this roster, a roster that will return to NBA championship contention in just a few short months.

Paschall has been nothing short of amazing to start his NBA career. But, we need to see him maintain this excellence in the next few weeks before setting expectations too high.
