The Golden State Warriors should be giving second-round pick Eric Paschall, who set a career-high a few nights ago, all the minutes he can handle.

Coming off a career-high 36 points against the Portland Trail Blazers, Golden State Warriors’ rookie Eric Paschall has been an absolute nightmare for defenses this season. He’s so basketball-savvy with his movements that he’s been virtually impossible to guard.

Without D’Angelo Russell, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson, the Golden State Warriors beat the Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum-led Blazers. Although they may not be a threat in the West this season, they need to take each win for what it is.

As for the 6-foot-6, 255-pound Paschall, he’s been unstoppable because of his mix of size and speed.

If you put Hassan Whiteside on him, he’ll blow right by him. However, if you put a small power forward or small forward on him, he’ll just overpower them with his deceivingly strong physique.

It’s a perfect combination.

He’s certainly not the defender that Draymond Green has molded himself into, but Paschall has already shown a more complete game on the offensive end. At least for now, Paschall has shown all the skills it takes to be a star in this league.

Yes, it’s far too soon to make such a prediction for certain, but averaging 16.7 points on 60% shooting warrants a few insanely hot takes regarding his play. He’s been one of the few bright spots for the Warriors after a rough start to the season.

That said, he neared 40 minutes in the team’s outing against Portland on Monday night, and that should be expected to be a nightly average for now. Not necessarily 40, but Paschall and the team’s staff may benefit from seeing him play 35-plus minutes per game.

He’s one of the only players on this active roster that can create his own shot, and he’s been doing it at a high rate and a high percentage as well. All-in-all, head coach Steve Kerr should be giving Paschall all he can handle for now.
