Stephen Curry remembered his tweet from over ten years ago, a tweet that helped ignite the Golden State Warriors dynamic dynasty.

The Golden State Warriors don’t have too many reasons to celebrate this season, but the anniversary of Stephen Curry’s tweet reminded those that have been there since the beginning that this historic run was a thing of beauty.

Curry put his emotions, and the thoughts of Dub Nation, on Twitter a day after the team, that fans knew had so much promise, dropped to 2-5 in 2009. That season, they didn’t necessarily turn it around, but it was the starting point for the blueprint that was to follow.

In that span, the small-town guard from Davidson put up two MVPs and lead the Warriors to five-straight Finals appearances. Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Kevin Durant helped make what was once a dream a reality.

Through the thick and thin, it’s been Curry, Thompson, and Green who have been there through it all, one reason he felt the need to send out such a heartfelt promise to Dub Nation.

NBC Sports’ Ali Thanawalla noted Curry’s response when talking about the tweet.

"“Best tweet ever,” Curry told reporters Monday night during a press conference at Chase Center before the Warriors played the Jazz."

However, don’t ask Curry exactly where he was when he sent out the ignition needed to kick off one of the league’s greatest dynasties.

"“I don’t remember where I was,” Curry said. “I definitely remember sending it out though. [Warriors vice president of communications] Raymond [Ridder] probably can tell me what city I was in.”"

The Golden State Warriors are about to go through a tough time so anything to remind them of what they’ve been through it a notable matter. And, this tweet, something that seemed like a signal for what was to come, certainly counts as that.

Come next season, the excellent and thriving Golden State Warriors will once again take the court with Curry as their unfazed leader. This type of long-term success isn’t likely what Curry was talking about when he drilled that blue tweet button, but it certainly was the best-case scenario.
