Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadephia 76ers will end as one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. But, their bench certainly isn’t a strength. They rank within the bottom five in average points per game for their second unit.

Furkan Korkmaz and James Ennis III are currently the team’s backup shooting guard and small forward. While Burks isn’t a major upgrade over either, he would be a more serviceable backup than Ennis.

Burks has proven to be a consistent threat and even put up 29 points in one game this season, the third-most of his career. There was a time when Burks averaged double figures for three straight seasons, being a backup for his best full season in the league.

He has the tools and basketball savvy to be a top player on a championship team’s second unit.

Converting on a career-high 1.4 threes per game, Burks is taking full advantage of his opportunity and would be able to slide into the backup role perfectly with the Sixers. He’d also be a cheap way for them to improve their depth.
