While the Golden State Warriors are rocking just a 3-15 record, fans will get a glimpse of reporter Klay Thompson as he’ll make his debut against the Bulls.

For a 3-15 team, the Golden State Warriors are doing a good job making sure they find ways to engage fans. Although this isn’t the Warriors directly, you can almost bet they had some involvement in the process.

That said, on NBC Sports Bay Area, a network that has the vast majority of Warrior games, Klay Thompson will make his reporting debut. It’ll be tonight against the Bulls. After this game, the Warriors will take Thanksgiving off before going on a five-game road trip.

Thompson has yet to play this season. As many know, he tore his ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals after dropping 30 points in 32 minutes. The five-time All-Star may not return at all this season.

That’s not to say that he hasn’t been involved with the team and organization. Clearly, he has been as NBC Sports Bay Area announces his reporting debut.

Klay Thompson signed a five-year, $190 million deal this offseason. The organization knew he could miss all of this season, yet they decided he was worth the money anyway. That’s the type of belief Golden State has that Klay will bounce back at full strength.

Overall, for the fans to get a glimpse of Klay on the sideline or wherever he may be is exciting. It’s not often that they get updates or really get to see much of Klay outside of the rare update on his injury.

Thompson may not end up playing at all this season, which could be brutal for Golden State. Combine his injury and Stephen Curry’s, and it’s easy to see why the Warriors are a league-worst 3-15.

Next season, with the developed Eric Paschall, this team will rebound, but fans, who have been blessed for five straight seasons will have to suffer through this one first.
