The Golden State Warriors have their eyes locked on Karl-Anthony Towns.

It’s no secret that the Golden State Warriors are in desperate need of extra talent. With the dynasty hanging on by a thread, a big-time acquisition is the only thing that can save the Warriors for certain.

The Dubs can revive their dominance in a few ways. The 2020 offseason will bring a new class of free agents with a number of names that could offer help. Furthermore, the Dubs will likely secure a top pick in the upcoming NBA Draft that allows them to add more young talent.

However, the Warriors should be aiming big. With growing frustration in Minnesota, it is a belief around the league that Karl-Anthony Towns wants out.

Towns is a two-time All-Star and former All-NBA member. Playing in his fifth season at 24 years of age, Towns is ready to compete at the highest level.

This season, KAT is averaging a career-high 26.5 points in addition to 11.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.3 blocks per game. He is shooting nearly 50/40/90 across the board, only lacking in his 79.6 percent free-throw clip.

KAT is without a doubt one of the best big men in the league but is stifled on a limited team in the Minnesota Timberwolves. Despite his strong numbers each season, the Wolves have only managed to reach the playoffs once with KAT.

The Timberwolves currently have an 11-20 record, ranking 13th in the Western Conference. If the team continues to underperform it is only a matter of time before KAT wishes to be traded away.

The Warriors have a perfect opportunity to steal Towns. They are sure to receive a top pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and will be able to flip this pick as well as a few other young assets for a big name star. Towns may be at the top of their wish list.
