Golden State Warriors: 10 Free agents that can revive the dynasty
By Tony Pesta
1. Brandon Ingram
Former Los Angeles Laker, Brandon Ingram is showing the world that he was not the reason for LA’s woes last season.
Ingram has broken out as a star with his own team in New Orleans. Though the team has struggled, his individual performances have been great considering his lack of a supporting cast.
Blossoming into a Most Improved Player candidate, Ingram is scoring a career-high 25.3 points on 49.1 percent shooting from the floor and 40.9 percent from deep. He is in the top 10 for scoring, tied with LeBron James.
Ingram has spent most of his career being compared to Kevin Durant. How perfect would it be for him to claim Durant’s former role with the Warriors?
This isn’t to say that Ingram will ever come close to being the scorer and closer that KD was, but there couldn’t be a more perfect replacement for the two-time Finals MVP. The Warriors should absolutely go after Ingram this summer.
