Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics have one of the league’s worst second units. They just haven’t scored well and there isn’t much dynamic playmaking. While Robinson III may not fill that hole entirely, he’s certainly a better option than Semi Ojeleye.
The Celtics bench scores just 27.9 points per game. Robinson is averaging almost half of that per game which is pretty telling of just how crippling the Celtics’ second unit has been this season. However, they’re high on Robert Williams so a straight-up swap could be a stretch.
Williams, the Celtics’ first-round draft pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, is averaging a mere 3.9 points per game on 68% shooting. Not a great free-throw shooting, Williams is notching almost 12 rebounds per 36 minutes which boosts his value.
Williams has a high ceiling.
The former first-round pick may just need a bit more time to truly find his footing in the league. For the Warriors, dealing Robinson for a quality former first-round pick that could still become a star is all you can for.
