The Golden State Warriors are eyeing Karl-Anthony Towns’ scenario in Minnesota and could offer a mammoth trade if they feel the Wolves crumbling.

Although a far different situation, as we saw with Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans, it’s tough hanging onto a disgruntled superstar. That’s why the Golden State Warriors have been monitoring the situation brewing in Minnesota.

The Wolves just haven’t been successful since Karl-Anthony Towns’ eruption into stardom. Even with Jimmy Butler, the Wolves were out in the first round of the playoffs, barely even making the final eight seeds.

Butler’s mere presence seemed to worsen the situation in Minnesota.

Now, it may be KAT who is wanting out.

While he has yet to make any trade demands, Towns has seemingly been unhappy in his time in Minnesota. Close friend D’Angelo Russell, who was almost the Timberwolves star acquisition this past offseason before opting into a sign-and-trade, is with Golden State and loving his time.

Could that impact Towns’ decision to demand a trade?

It certainly could, and it could only be a matter of time before the ticking time bomb that is KAT erupts. And, for a player averaging over 26 points and 11 rebounds per game, a king’s ransom would be the only appropriate option.

That said, let’s dive into the quintessential trade package for KAT.
