Willie Cauley-Stein

The Utah Jazz have Rudy Gobert down low. He’s one of the most dominant defensive centers, winning the last two Defensive Player of the Year awards. However, when he’s in foul trouble or needs a break, they don’t have much other help in their frontcourt.

At the same time, they have a few quality young players that the Warriors may look to develop.

One of those is Tony Bradley. Bradley is a risk though so attaching a second-round pick for Cauley-Stein may be ideal. Not getting as many minutes as last season, Cauley-Stein’s numbers have technically dipped, but he’s still average a double-double per 36 minutes.

Also with a bottom-five bench, the Jazz would use the seven-footer that’s on an extremely team-friendly contract. Cauley-Stein is averaging 8.0 points per game and is drilling a career-high 56.8% of his shots. That production could benefit the lacking Jazz second unit.

It’s a low-profile trade that could be ideal for both parties.
