D’Angelo Russell

This is the big one.

The Warriors have shown no interest in trading D’Angelo Russell. While they’ll likely listen to offers, they’ll need something that blows them away in order to trade the 23-year-old All-Star guard.

This isn’t quite that offer, but it is something they should consider.

Covington would slide into the small forward role and create a lethal lineup on both sides of the court next season. The healthy Warriors would be dominant and have two lottery picks in the upcoming NBA Draft.

A good bit of this trade would also center on the potential cap space that trading for Covington would open. The Warriors would be able to sign a few quality veterans to pair with their elite rookies next season.

However, the Warriors are looking to not trade Russell to the Wolves but to receiver Karl-Anthony Towns. For now, there’s not a single trade that seems likely between the two sides, but this is certainly the most talked-about trade for both teams.

How many of these would you take if you’re the Golden State Warriors?
