The Golden State Warriors should keep their eyes on these star players.

It’s almost trade season in the NBA. The Golden State Warriors are equipped with enough assets to make a serious push for a max player, will the Dubs become buyers at the deadline?

It’s been a few years since the Warriors were active at the trade deadline. The last time Golden State made a notable move at the deadline was in 2012 when the franchise traded Stephen Jackson for Richard Jefferson, T.J. Ford and a 2012 First Round draft pick.

This year, the Warriors have more reason to trade than they did in years prior. For the first time in half a decade, Golden State is out of the playoff picture and looking ahead to the NBA Draft Lottery. As a result, the Dubs have a very valuable draft pick stashed away readily available in trade talks.

The Warriors don’t have to trade at the deadline, they can easily wait until the summer to package their pick and D’Angelo Russell together to snag a star-caliber player. This is something that Warriors insiders have already alluded to being a possibility.

If this happens, who will the Warriors target? Today, we rank the five best players that could potentially be available for the Dubs before the trade deadline or later in the summer.
