Alec Burks

6-foot-6 small forward Alec Burks is the most tradeable Warrior for several reasons. The most important is that he, like Robinson III, is on a veteran’s minimum contract, meaning championship teams with little cap space can still make a run for him.

Secondly, it’s become he’s been a consistent and efficient scoring threat for Golden State. With D’Angelo Russell having missed a handful of games, someone had to step up offensively, and that player has been Alec Burks.

Burks is averaging a career-high 15.8 points per game. On top of that, he’s averaging a career-high 1.6 threes per game. He can shoot and drive offensively and is capable of defending both larger and smaller opponents on the defensive end.

Burks isn’t going to make a team a championship contender, but he certainly has the tools to elevate a team like Boston to the next level. It would be a mistake for the Warriors not to trade Burks.

Securing assets for expiring contracts is a win for Golden State with the trade deadline nearing.
