3. Draymond Green

For years, Draymond Green has dealt with the criticism of being a “system player.” His haters argued that without a team of All-Stars surrounding him, Green would be nothing more than an average player.

As a Cleveland native, I’ve heard just about every negative thing that can be said about Green. Even so, I always stood to his defense as I truly believed Green would be an elite two-way player with or without his star teammates.

So far this season, this hasn’t been the case. I’m sure Green is still capable of being elite but he has not had the impact I thought he would. Green is averaging  8.5 points, 6.5 assists and 6.3 rebounds on below 40 percent shooting from the field and 27.4 percent from the 3-point line.

He can obviously impact the game in many ways but his overall dominance has decreased significantly. I don’t believe Green is a system player, but it’s clear he isn’t as talented as some of us thought.
