The Golden State Warriors are campaigning for rookie Eric Paschall to reach the Rising Stars Game.

Eric Paschall has been the lone light in the dark for the Golden State Warriors. The breakout star had few expectations as a second-round draft pick but has been one of the Dubs best players during this ugly season.

Paschall wasted no time breaking into the starting lineup. By his sixth game, he put up 25 points as a starter. He followed this performance up with 34 points and 13 rebounds versus the Portland Trail Blazers in a victory.

With All-Star weekend quickly approaching, the Warriors are hoping Paschall will have a chance to represent them in the Rising Stars game. The first event of the week, the Rising Stars game showcases the league’s best young players.

Paschall is more than worthy of a spot on the roster. He is in the top 10 for both points and rebounds, averaging 13.6 points and 4.4 rebounds a night. There is no doubt Paschall is one of the best rookies in the game.

Other rookies that will secure a spot in the competition are Ja Morant, Kendrick Nunn, R.J. Barrett and Tyler Herro. Of course, Luka Doncic and Trae Young will headline the game as the sophomore superstars.

It’s been quite a long time since the Warriors had a Rising Star on their team. The last Warriors to reach the game was Harrison Barnes in 2014 who appeared in back-to-back years as both a rookie and sophomore.

The future MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo, appeared in that 2014 game. Other stars such as Anthony Davis and Damina Lillard competed alongside Barnes.

This season, we will see the Warriors go without a single All-Star as injuries have tarnished any chance of reaching the game for the Dubs stars. This will be the first time since 2012 that the Warriors did not make an appearance in the All-Star Game.

Hopefully, Paschall will earn a selection to the Rising Stars Game to help the Warriors avoid missing All-Star weekend entirely.
