1. Russell is not traded (Yet)

The Warriors will be battling the urge to trade D’Angelo Russell all season long. The 23-year old star has a ton of trade value, but it is my prediction that the Dubs will hold off on trading him for now.

Russell is one of the league’s most exciting prospects. He has shown major improvements to his game almost every season and is averaging career-high numbers for the second straight year.

The Warriors have made it clear that they do not have current plans of trading Russell but have been open to receiving offers. Recently, the Minnesota Timberwolves have reportedly increased their pursuit of D-Lo.

Regardless, the Warriors will likely wait until the summer to trade Russell. It makes more sense for the franchise to see where their 2020 NBA Draft pick will fall, allowing them to package D-Lo alongside their pick for maximum return.

The potential No.1 pick in the draft and Russell will be enough to land the Warriors another star player. There is no need to rush this deal. Russell is safe in Golden State, for the time being.
