The Golden State Warriors aren’t looking to trade D’Angelo Russell, but if the Wolves come with a strong offer, they also shouldn’t deny them.

There’s no denying this season has been a struggle for the Golden State Warriors.

They’re currently dead last in the Western Conference, and even the return of Stephen Curry may not be able to bring back them at this point. That means the Dubs will already be turning their focus towards the 2020-2021 season.

That season will see Klay Thompson return if he doesn’t later this year. Curry will be healthy and Draymond Green will be prepared to resume his role as one of the top distributors on a high-octane offense.

What will happen to D’Angelo Russell then?

With the Wolves heating up talks for the young guard, the Warriors seemingly have no reason to budge, but the Wolves certainly do have the assets to throw trades at the Warriors. They could force their hand with the potentially numerous assets in the trade.

With the February 6 trade deadline nearing in just a few short weeks, let’s look into five trades that could land D’Angelo Russell on the Timberwolves while also being considered a win for the Golden State Warriors.
