Aaron Gordon

Having a down year with the Orlando Magic, Aaron Gordon has taken a few steps back since his breaking season in 2017.

That 2017-2018 season, Gordon averaged over 17 points per game. With the eruption of young athletes like Jonathan Isaac and Markelle Fultz, he’s down to just under 14 per game. That’s a trend that may likely continue as well.

The Magic aren’t in a place to dump their young talent. The problem that the Warriors would run into with this trade is that they’d have to deal D’Angelo Russell or another player on a max-value to bring on Gordon’s salary.

The only reason the Warriors would even consider doing that is to allow additional cap flexibility. They’ll be looking to gear back up for next season and could use the several million that separate the two.

Not to mention Gordon has averaged over seven rebounds per game and, at his peak, notched over two threes per game. He is a quality player, but his opportunity in Orlando is running dry.
