LA Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers were absolutely abused by the Boston Celtics a few days ago.

While that shouldn’t send too many warning signs, one reoccurring trend for the championship-hopeful Lakers is that they’re consistently not among the league’s best three-point shooting teams.

Making just 11.0 per game, the Lakers rank 21st in the NBA in threes. It may not be a huge issue, but the Lakers should start to focus on perimeter shooting. Robinson III on a minimum-value contract would be an ideal addition.

Robinson is averaging 1.3 threes per game on 39% from downtown. Overall, he’s shooting 46.4% from the field which is the second-best of his career.

He’d also add a spark defensively, but the Lakers would have to find the value in Robinson over a player like Kentavious Caldwell-Pope which seems unlikely.

The Lakers need to be better from the perimeter and need to find a way to improve their roster. They’re not the best team in Los Angeles right now, and they’ll need to fix that prior to the postseason’s commencement.
