Dallas Mavericks and Willie Cauley-Stein

The last veteran that the Warriors should consider trading is Willie Cauley-Stein. Golden State just isn’t using the seven-foot center that much, playing him just 22.9 minutes per game, almost down five entire minutes from last season.

Cauley-Stein’s production is at-large remained the same. While his per-game averages have dipped, his per-36 minute averages are consistent with previous seasons as he’s even averaging a career-high in blocks.

With Luka Doncic leading the way, a rim-rocking center like Cauley-Stein would be an ideal addition. Doncic has an elite passing ability that he could use to get Cauley-Stein high-percentage looks.

Maxi Kleber is both Dallas’ starting power forward and backup center. After Kleber, it’s Boban as the Mavs’ backup center. That’s why they may be the perfect fit for Cauley-Stein, especially given that they’re in the midst of playoff run.
