The Golden State Warriors won’t be competing in the NBA Finals this season but Stephen Curry has given us his predictions.

For the first time in five seasons, the Golden State Warriors will not represent the Western Conference in the NBA Finals. This hasn’t stopped Stephen Curry from giving his predictions.

Curry has missed the majority of this season due to a fractured left hand. In the absence of the two-time MVP, the Warriors have won only 10 games and hold the worst record in their conference.

With his return set for early March, Steph had some free time to join Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson on their All Smoke podcast.

Here, Curry was asked about a number of different topics. When discussing the upcoming NBA playoffs, Curry stated this:

“If I was betting right now… maybe the Lakers and Milwaukee.” Curry told Barnes.

This seems like a pretty safe bet from Curry as the Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks sit atop of their respective conferences. With a 40-6 record, the Bucks have the best record in the league and are on pace to become the third team in NBA history to win 70+ games.

The Bucks’ success is due to none other than Giannis Antetokounmpo. The reigning MVP is leading the charge again this season with incredible averages of 30.0 points, 12.9 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.0 blocks per game.

Meanwhile, LeBron James is still reigning as he leads the league in assists (10.8) and is scoring 25.2 points a night. Alongside James is his new monstrous teammate, Anthony Davis. The Brow is dominating with 26.3 points and 2.5 blocks per game, making his case for James’ best teammate to date.

It seems likely that these two powerhouses are on a collision course to clash in the NBA Finals. That is if other dark horse candidates such as the LA Clippers and Boston Celtics don’t get in the way.
