Alec Burks to the Celtics

The Warriors didn’t necessarily get the haul many expected when the Cauley-Stein trade broke. But, there’s no need for the Warriors to budge with Burks. He deserves to return a first-round pick after a tremendous start to the season.

Burks has been having the best season of his career.

Averaging 15.9 points per game, Burks has taken his game to the next level as Russell has missed time with a myriad of injuries. That said, it’d benefit a team like Boston, who has one of the worst scoring benches in the NBA.

The Celtics are one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. They are on the verge of being the favorite in the East, and Burks could take them to the next level. It’s not just scoring he brings. He’s also improved his shooting.

At 35.5%, Burks is averaging 1.6 threes which is the most of his career. Being able to space the floor is important for most championship-level teams and the Celtics could easily give a first for the 6-foot-6 veteran.
