The Golden State Warriors lost to the Philadelphia 76ers last night, but Glenn Robinson III continued to show his value.

One of the only teams, Philadelphia, to have reported interest in the Golden State Warriors’ Glenn Robinson III saw his value firsthand on Tuesday night. While the Sixers still won, so did Robinson III with his 20-point performance.

Robinson’s 20 was the third-most points scored in the game behind D’Angelo Russell‘s 28 and Joel Embiid‘s 24. It was less about his scoring and more about how he scored and just how efficient he was.

Finishing the game with a mere 11 shots and three free throws, Robinson made seven of his shots from the field. What’s even more impressive is his 3-for-5 from downtown. He also chipped in five boards and three assists.

This isn’t just a one-time showing for Robinson.

It’s turned into the routine outing which is why he’s being shown interest in. On the season, Robinson is averaging 12.4 points per game while shooting 47% from downtown and 39.3% from deep.

As the trade deadline nears, Robinson is taking his game to a new level, scoring double figures in all but one of his past nine outings. Coming into the team’s matchup with Philly, Robinson was averaging over 14 points on 55% shooting over that stretch.

Robinson, like Alec Burks, is a prime trade deadline target. It makes perfect sense as well. On a one-year, veteran’s minimum contract, Robinson likely won’t be back in the Bay on the same deal after such a terrific season.

Why not trade him now if you’re Golden State?

He’s hitting stride, proving his value, and putting on consistent performances. That’s everything a championship-contender lacking depth should want. That said, Robinson’s peaking at the right time, and it could result in a win-win for Robinson and the Warriors.

Don’t be shocked if Robinson isn’t on the Warriors following the February 6 trade deadline.
